For some reason, I just came across this video now…but your method is very similar to my own fool-proof method, which is simply taking a deep breath and holding it while slowly drinking a glass of water. My healthcare-provider wife says that since hiccups are a diaphragmatic spasm, these methods work because you’re basically forcing the muscle to calm itself by ‘massaging’ it. Next time I get ‘em, I’ll try your method and see how it works!
